Cape York Wilderness Fishing Adventures |
Carpentaria Seafaris' mothership, the Tropic Paradise is a very well appointed, large volume, 19 x 6.4 meter (62 x 21 foot) catamaran with luxuries not normally found on most charter boats. Large, airy 2-bed cabins with large opening windows, household-size inner
spring mattress beds, personal reading lights, 240 volt power, air-conditioning on demand and full-size hot water showers and household toilets provide all the comforts of home. Some cabins have a double bed and a single bed and ensuit bathrooms.
The general service areas include a large open plan galley, saloon, lounge dining and bar area, lots of refrigeration, ice, flat screen TV’s, DVDs, CD and
iPod docks. The Tropic Paradise has an enormous amount of shaded aft and upper deck areas for rigging and storing fishing equipment,
as well as for sitting around in comfort relaxing with fresh sashimi hors d'oeuvres and a drink from our licensed bar. Our ample
dining area features comfortable seating at tables for full complement dining - go to the about page to find out about the magnificent
foods we serve.
This mothership was purpose-built specifically for our fishing safaris and launched in 2002. "The Paradise" as she is now affectionately known is a truly magnificent vessel and your home away from home while you fish the fish-rich waters of Cape York
Peninsula in Australia's remote far north. Click here to see the build process in 01/02.
The Skiffs
Our fleet of custom sport fishing skiffs are also purpose-built to our exacting standards. They are custom built in fiberglass, using state of the art composite materials to designs developed by us since 1991. Styled after Florida Keys style sports fishers and flats boats and PNG longboats, these super stable, shoal draft self-draining fishing machines have large casting deck areas and no hook ups for fly casting. Powered by late model 50 and 70 hp outboards, these guided skiffs normally carry 2 anglers each
with sometimes 3 in the larger blue water boats offshore, depending on angler fishing styles and requirements.
Whether casting at structure for Barramundi, stalking the flats for tailing Permit or chasing the schools of busting Tunas and other pelagic species just offshore, our experience, expertise, advice and guidance will have you
in the right place at the right time - the rest is up to you.
